Kiyo
Suki Kimi Wan Kast
"And then there were two....
In June of 2009, we found our first Shiba
Inu.... a black & Tan male we named Zephyr!
It was Love at first sight!
Although we had some problems with the breeder,
we were lucky, because he is a wonderful Shiba.
So wonderful, we decided we needed another one!
Not wanting to have the same problems we had the
first time, we went on a quest to find a good, honest
breeder, who truly cared about her dogs & the
people she decided to let have one! This is when
we found Pam!
I e-mailed her, asking some basic questions that
were important to us. One of which was wanting to
know if her Shibas had been OFA tested. Shibas can
have elbow, patella & hip problems, and a responsible
breeder will have their dogs tested before breeding.
This can save future puppies from an adulthood of
pain & suffering! The very next day, I received
a phone call from Pam. I think we talked for about
an hour & a half the first time! She answered
all of my questions, and further educated me about
Shibas. OFA testing was something she was very adamant
about. She said she has seen too many dogs suffering
from joint problems & wants to do all she can
to keep her puppies from going through that! She
also told me I could check her dogs test results
on the OFA website at www.offa.org. I did, and both
Obi & Kimi, had very good scores!
Another sign of a good breeder, is one who will
let you come to their home & see the puppies,
along with any other dogs they may have on the premises,
like the Mother & Father. Pam welcomed us to
her home & we met all the puppies along with
Kimi & Obi. (Mom & Dad). as well as Emi
& Oshii. We even met Pam's sister Sandy &
her little Shiba, Kiki!
There was never a lack of communication with Pam.
She was always available to answer questions &
help how ever she could....and still is!
She also put us in contact with other people who
had her puppies, so we could talk with them &
ask any questions.
After our long conversations & e-mailing back
& forth, I felt very comfortable with her, and
we decided she was the breeder for us!
Pam told us which puppies were available, and Suki
, a little red sesame was the one! We were head
over heels in love with her!
During our "waiting period", the time
until Suki was old enough to come home with us,
Pam sent pictures, not once, but every week, so
we could see how Suki was growing & changing!
She also sent videos of the puppies, so we could
see them running around & playing with each
other! It was great, and made the waiting a little
easier!
The day finally came to pick Suki up &
bring her home, I couldn't believe she was ours!
Pam had everything ready for us, and along with
all the puppy essentials, she gave us a personal
information folder for Suki! It had all of her paperwork,
AKC papers, health records, OFA testing information,
micro chip information, lineage, who the other puppies
went home to, photos of them all , photos of Suki
from birth and more information on caring for Shibas!
It was so nice! Our vet loved it too!
We have had Suki for a week now & she is just
perfect! Equal amounts of 'sugar & spice', she's
a loving, little sweetheart & a fearless, pixie~spitfire
all rolled into one very smart Shiba! Suki is even
convincing Zephyr, that having a little sister,
is much better than being an only dog~child....
and they are having great, puppy fun together! Jim
& I love her more every day & couldn't be
happier!
We can't thank you enough Pam, but we'll start now....
THANK YOU, for everything!
Love & Puppy kisses,
Jim, Sherry, Zephyr & Suki" |

Kumori
"Hi Pam,
Sorry it has taken me so long to get this note to
you! I wanted to fill you in on everything I have
been up to here in Colorado. It was a long drive
here but I was very tired and just snuggled with
my new mom and brother the whole way. I really like
my new home. The big dog is a great companion. I
cuddle up to him often and always when I sleep in
bed with everyone at night (I can't believe we all
sleep in this big bed together). The big dog is
a great chew toy too! I have a backyard that I just
love. There are a couple of big rocks that I like
to sit on but best are the flowers I chew on and
the grass I frolic in with my new brother (the big
dog). Just past my backyard there is an enormous
amount of grass that is very short (they say it’s
a golf course). I go out there and run as fast as
lightning. My dad got me some tiny tennis balls
and I am very good at fetch. As you must have taught
me I sit for everything I want.....my toys, food,
treats, everything. I am really showing everyone
that I am an amazing puppy!! I have had a few accidents
in the house....only potty....I think I get confused
cause we spend so much darn time outside. My dad
takes me to work everyday.....I love the work van
I just sleep on the seat while he does his service
calls. Luckily my dad has been slow with work so
we have spent a lot of time together. I kinda listen
to him a lot more than the lady. Yesterday they
took me to the river. OOOh my gosh I loved it. They
carried me across some shallow water to a sandy
island. I frolicked with my brother and dug a couple
holes. I got my feet wet in the water on my own
and thought it was pretty neat! Today we went for
a ride and when we got out they put me in this thing
they called a boat. I had this jacket thing on that
I really didn’t care for.....I would kinda
just fall over and pretend I couldn’t get
up. We got in the raft and floated down the middle
of the river till we got to one of those sand islands
and they took that vest off and I went nuts! Running,
chewing on my brother, and digging more holes.....That
is my favorite.....I don’t care about doing
that in my backyard but when you get me in that
soft sand I just love it. They said maybe I was
trying to find China! We got back on the boat and
I slept the whole rest of the trip!
Well Im getting sleepy again we just got back from
running on the golf course and then they emptied
the toy basket on the floor and I played with so
many different toys I didn’t know what to
do with myself.
I wanted to thank you Pam for everything you did
for me my first eight weeks! The vet said I am super
healthy. My mom and dad know that because I like
to cuddle they know I was cuddled a lot! My accidents
a few so they know you worked really hard with me
on that too! They say I am so great because of you...so
thanx Pam! I do miss you all a lot but am very happy
here too! I hope you don’t miss me too much!
They will send pictures tomorrow....I promise....its
on the ladys list of stuff to do! Take care Pam.....I
will do my best to stay in touch!!!!!
Love,
Eddy ..............Oooh yeah they changed my name
to Eddy Kumori Askins (I hope you like it!!!!)"

Nikkei
"We're all doing fine here in
Indiana, and Nikkei is fully settled into his new
home here. :-) I just wanted to email you a quick
update and some pictures so you could hear how well
he was doing! I can't believe he's almost 10 weeks
old now! He's grown so much! He looks like someone
stretched him down the middle of his body; he's
gotten longer and his ears got bigger, and his legs
haven't quite grown to catch up! He looks so sweet!
He's about 6.5 pounds now, and the vet says that
he's absolutely in perfect health...we had a breeder
that really knew what she was doing! (Of course,
this was no surprise to us...because we think you're
just awesome!) :-D
We take Nikkei to day care during the week
so he can play with dogs his size and get well socialized
and stimulated while we're at work. He's quite the
celebrity there; all the employees fight over who
gets to hold him first! :-D He's quite the ham too;
everyone wants to get their pictures taken with
him, and he just sits there grinning for the camera
like "yep, EVERYONE wants to take my picture
because I'm just that cool!" lol He gets all
A's on his report card, and so makes us just so
proud of him! He's also made a lot of new friends
around the condo association; there's quite a few
Schnauzers here, and he loves to rough-house with
them!
Nikkei's favorite toys are any kind of stuffed
animal (he's got a little blue cow that he absolutely
adores), chewy toys, and a big soccer ball that
has a little tow rope on it. He'll spend hours knocking
that thing around, pulling it by the rope, and crashing
it into things! But his favorite toy of all is the
cat...though Mr. Kitty is not NEARLY as fond of
Nikkei as Nikkei is of him! Nikkei likes to chase
Kitty around the house, and of course we're chasing
after him yelling "leave the cat ALONE"...all
Nikkei catches is a piece of fur, and he'll look
up at us with this hilarious expression on his face,
like, "Honest, mom, I really wasn't chasing
the cat...I swear!"
And of course we take him on short walks in
the evenings, which he likes too. He's almost up
to a half-mile now (in the grass, of course, to
protect his developing joints!) and is a big fan
of the sprint-as-fast-as-he-can pace and then collapsing
in a heap about 30 seconds later for a well-deserved
rest! Then he'll get up and do it all over again!
:-) And of course, he's a big fan of the leaves
that have fallen off the trees...it's like every
one is a new toy blowing in the wind just for him
to pounce on and crunch up into a million pieces!
We like to call him our "mighty leaf hunter"
because he will protect us from any hostile leaf
that is looking to cause us trouble! :-D
So as you can see, we're all having a good
time around here! Oh, and I wrote your review on
PuppyFind this week, as well. I gave you 5 out of
5 stars.
I hope everything's going great for you!
Lisa"

Kiba
"Kiba was the Valentines Day surprise
from Jeb...and we couldn't ask for a better puppy!
We had been talking about Shiba Inus and researching
so much on the breed that we both were hooked and
had been wanting one for such a long time.
Since day one Kiba has brought
us so much joy and everyday he amazes us. He is
a sweetie too! When we first got him he just looked
like a teddy bear, and of course gets The most attention
of any other dog around. And now that he is a bit
older he is developing more of 'foxy look' and ever
so handsome ;) And oh is Kiba smart - he already
knows to Sit, stay, come, shake, down, and we are
working on roll over. We plan to get Kiba trained
in tracking and also into agility training as well.
He loves to play with other dogs and also finds
enjoyment from his lazer pointer (thanks to Jeb
on that one). Kiba is occasionally shy from people
but only at certain times..we can see how socialization
is key from the beggining! Kiba definately is a
loyal dog and his love just shows in those sweet
little eyes. He has been such a good puppy from
the beginning and we can both see how smart this
breed is...he can try to be a bit stubborn at times,
but then daddy puts him in his place!
Thank you so much Pam for being such a wonderful
breeder! Thank you for all your help and support
as well. We are so happy that Kiba is a part of
our lives, and Jeb and I are two very proud parents
:)
We look forward to many years
and fun times together.
Jeb and Kristen" |

Toki
Chi Lin
"One night I was surfing
the net looking at puppy pictures & I stumbled
across a picture of a Shiba. I had never seen one
before and immediately wanted one! Only I knew nothing
of the breed. I sent an e-mail to Pam & was
amazed at the response that I received from her.
She sent me a variety of links
containing information on Shiba Inus. Then she sent
Chad (my fiance) & I Toki Chi Lin- we fell in
love right there at the airport! This little girl
is amazing & even came to us potty trained(thanks
a million Pam)!
Pam provided us with a binder
filled with information about Shiba's & pictures
of Toki since the day that she was born. Pam is
such a loving woman & full of animal knowledge
so we thought that getting a pup from her was the
best move & we were right!
If you are looking for a healthy
and not to mention beautiful puppy then purchase
from Pam. She is still there for me whenever I have
questions & she likes to know how the pups are
doing as well. You really can't go wrong with Pam.
We are grateful that we met her & am glad to
say that we landed a great deal. We have the best
puppy in the whole world & a new friend named
Pam- thanks again Pam. Sharon, Chad & of course
Toki Chi Lin too"

Dexter
"Pam sold Dexter to me at
the beginning of February. Because I live in Texas,
Dexter had to be shipped. At first, I was skeptical
about having a puppy shipped, but Pam made the process
so easy and stress free. She handled all of the
shipping arrangements and she emailed updated pictures
of Dexter everyday. When I fist saw Dexter at the
airport I said, "Oh my gosh he is the cutest puppy
I have ever seen." People stop me all the time to
tell me how adorable he is.
Also, Dexter is by far the most
well-behaved puppy I've ever had. He was potty trained
within a week and a half, he has never chewed up
anything besides his chew toys and he learned how
to sit, shake and lay down very quickly.I
believe his good behavior has a lot to do with the
attention and love he recieved from Pam and her
family.
I am so thankful to have found
the perfect breeder and the perfect breed. I hope
to buy a new shiba playmate for Dex from Pam in
a few years.
Thanks Pam." |

Miyuki
"I do want to thank You,
I have never had a pup that is so well potty trained,
and socialized. She knows exactly what to do when
she goes out , still have a few potty accidents
but I think its due to the little puppy bladder.
Steve and I had her out to the
Nebraska Pump open house, and she was a hit!! Show
no fear, or shyness. She greeted everyone with a
kiss and would go to anyone. Was great with children.
Her other adventures were to the
vet, and she won everyone over there. Pass her exam
with flying colors. Also had been to the groomers,
for a nail clipping, and a bath."

Kimo
"Kimo is quite a character.
He definitely has lots of personality! We take him
to our office with us each day and he just loves
people and people adore him. I take him with me
a lot and he’s gotten used to riding in the
car. We’ve had some nice weather lately and
he loves to play in “his” yard. Chasing
blowing leaves could possibly be his favorite thing!
Kimo is quite vocal, too. He has no problem letting
you know when he wants something!
He has socialized with our other
animals. He loves his big brothers (our two labs)
and likes to be pesky to our barn kitties. He barks
at the horses…until they turn towards him
and he thinks better of pushing his luck!
Kimo gets a lot of attention from
strangers, either at the pet store or his new vet.
People are curious about his breed. He has lots
of toys and loves to play. My favorite time is cuddling
him when he sleeps! He does great with a leash and
we have gone on several long walks with the big
dogs already.
Hope you like the photos. We’ll
be in touch again! Thanks again for our Kimo!"

Emi
"The book was very nice!!
We did show the vet the book he was very impressed
and by that could tell you really cared about your
pups!! =) We got Emi to shake...haha...She really
doesnt like the roll over one...I think it kinda
scares her!! haha
I've started to take Emi on short
walks....Im trying to get her to go around the entire
block but she is a little chicken!! We can go almost
half walk around before she just stops and doesnt
want to go any further!! Then once we turn around
she runs the entire way back!! It's really cute!!
I found that Emi eats too fast
as well, every time she is done she gets the hick
ups....Im gonna have to start making her take breaks!!
Tomorrow Emi gets a little play
date with my best friend's Dog...He is safe!! She
played with him once before, but as of now he is
the only dog we can socialize her with!! They are
the only people we trust!! =)
Oh and Emi got a tennis ball today
and she loved it....I guess from now on we are playing
fetch!"

Koji
"It's the first time
I've downloaded pictures from our new camera so..
I hope they go through OK. If
they do, you'll be able to see how nice his ear
is standing up!!
He just gets better every day.
He is pretty much housebroken. He comes when called,
he understands what NO means and he is very good
about waiting for his food in a calm state of mind,
he waits until we say OK.
Did Leila's family come to pick her up today? I
know they will be just as happy as we are!!
Thanks for doing such a GREAT job with them!
Thanks Again, Marilyn"

Corrado Shino
"I love my Baby!
I adopted my puppy from Pam and her husband this
January. He is such a perfect puppy and is very
well behaved. He loves meeting new people and gives
many kisses. I feel that his love of people comes
from being well socialized from birth.
When I picked him up just over two weeks ago
I got to meet all his siblings and they are all
just as adorable. I highly recommend adding a member
to your family from these puppies. Before I met
my boy I received updates weekly and sometimes more
often than that.
When I got Rado he was micro-chipped and had
his dew claws removed. He had been to the vet already
and was up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming."

Hanami
Hanami (Hannah) is sold to Randy Savage of Rowlett,
Texas.
"PERFECT SHIBA PUP
If you are looking for the perfect shiba pup, Pam
is the breeder to get in touch with. I purchased
my "Hannah" from her in February 2008.
Words can not adequately express the complete satisfaction
I experienced in acquiring my puppy. My Hannah is
one in a million. I am a shiba inu breeder myself,
so I know a good deal about shiba inus. I had purchased
7 previous shiba inus before I came across Pam.
Her customer service, quality puppies, knowledge
and love of the breed, and her personable and friendly
transaction far outweigh the others. There is no
doubt that Pam's dogs are loved, properly handled
and cared for. At every stage of development, Hannah
has just been the ideal shiba inu. Pam is very friendly
and informative, and has beautiful shiba adults
with which to provide you a puppy. I would not hesitate
one moment in contacting Pam for a future puirchase.
You can not go wrong with Pam as your breeder !
Randy"
